Lovely spot free car park and cafe and toilets. Good cliff top walks in both directions with excellent views along the coastline and interesting bays. Take care on the beach areas as these cliffs are not always stable and rock falls are common. The town is also an interesting place to wander around with lots of local shops and pubs.
Was nice. Free parking and cafe on site with toilets. Wasn't very busy. Went fossil hunting and didn't find much but was a good day out.
A stoney beach with occasional patches of sand when the tide is further out. People would still need to scramble over rocks to get to the sand so they would need to be steady on their feet to get there. The cliffs are attractive, and views of England can be seen on a clear day.
There is a cafe and toilets there. The car park is free with disabled spaces nearer the beach. The beach isn't accessible for wheel chair users, though. The beach is dog friendly.
Mostly rocks and stones form beach access. Some hard sandy areas when tide is out. Car park on gravel surface(chargeable). Has tarmac disabled spaces near shop (free to use). Long approach to beach from Llantwit Major which is quite narrow in places. Shop and ice cream kiosk are cash only.
Beautiful cobbly sea side with a cafe as well! Cash only site. Has some lovely walks for the dogs and kids
The nearby town of Llantwit Major is steeped in history where you will discover independent shops and a good range of eateries. St Illtud's church and the Galilee Chapel is well worth a visit. Llantwit Major beach is great for surfing and coastal walks all year round.
A beautiful beach and surroundings, expecially if you like hiking. But be careful of the tide raising: on our way to Nash Point (nice little coffee place there), we went via beach but on our way back we used the paths on the cliffs as the water has covered everything we walked on in the morning! Amazing views :)
Fantastic place to visit, not so good for swimming and sand castles but great for rock pools and fossil hunting, great cliff top walks, free parking, toilets and a very good cafe with the usual seaside prices , being reasonably fit and nimble is a must to get the best out of a visit in my opinion.
